Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin are married

After dating for five years, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin tied the knot in a private ceremony in Hungary.

According to Hungarian news site Bors Online, the couple exchanged vows in a picturesque church located just outside Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. Cole Sprouse, Dylan's twin brother, served as the best man.

In the photos obtained by the site, Barbara can be seen wearing a simple, classic cut gown with sheer gloves and a veil. Dylan wore a black suit with a black tie and a white collared shirt.

The surprise wedding came just one month after the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. In a post, Barbara wrote, "With the power invested in V I am a Sprouse to be @dylansprouse."  

The couple kept their engagement a secret for six months before sharing the news with the world. They announced their engagement in a photo shoot for V magazine's Fall 2023 issue, in which they posed as a bride and groom.

In the cover story, Dylan explained that they decided to keep their engagement private because they wanted to savor the moment and celebrate it with their closest friends and family first. "We didn't feel the need for full transparency with the public," he said. "We just wanted to do it on our time."

"There's a lot of demand from the general public for full transparency, which is funny to me because no relationship is fully transparent," Dylan said. "We didn't necessarily feel the need to be fully transparent with the public about the aspect of our engagement." 

Dylan also expressed his excitement for the wedding, especially for the moment when their parents would finally meet. He understood the significance of Barbara's large family and how they value her because he came from a tiny household.

Dylan and Barbara met at a Harper's Bazaar party in 2017 and started dating the year after. They got engaged in September 2022.
