Hudson Joseph Meek, who appeared in the 2017 film Baby Driver, passed away after falling from a moving vehicle. He was 16.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus,” his family announced in a statement posted on his Instagram page. “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.
His management, J Pervis Talent Agency, described Meek as “more than just a talent” in a tribute to the late actor.
“He was a source of inspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile, and innate ability to light up a room and never meet a stranger,” they said.

Citing the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, NBC affiliate WTVM reported that the actor died on Dec. 21. He fell from a moving vehicle on Dec. 19, where he sustained a blunt force trauma, and was pronounced dead at UAB Hospital two days after.
An investigation on his death is ongoing.
