GOT7's Jinyoung pens letter to fans after confirming his military enlistment: 'Let’s meet again soon'
GOT7’s Jinyoung is set to begin his military service in May.
JBTC News reported on April 5 that Jinyoung will soon begin his military service as an active-duty soldier. It was confirmed shortly after by a source from his agency, BH Entertainment.
“Our agency’s artist Park Jinyoung will receive basic military training at the training center [starting] on Monday, May 8, and fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier,” they responded to the report.
Shortly after, the K-pop star shared a handwritten letter to his fans, assuring them that he will be okay and will be back “more mature and in good health.”
“Hello everyone. This is Park Jinyoung,” his letter began.
The K-pop star went on to address the news about his military enlistment.
“You all must have been very surprised after coming across my enlistment news through reports. Like it has been revealed, I will be enlisting in the military on May 8 in order to fulfill my military duties,” he shared.
“Everyone must be very worried, but [I've] gotten rather confident and reassured while meeting all of you. That is why I promise to return more mature and in good health after experiencing a lot while thinking of everyone,” he continued.
“Well then, let’s meet again soon. Thank you always, and I love you,” he concluded his letter.
Jinyoung is part of the seven-member boy group GOT7, consisting of members Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom.
