Netizens call out Vice Ganda for 'rude quips' to It's Showtime co-host Karylle
Vice Ganda has been the talk of the town on Twitter after netizens called her out for her "rude remarks" and "unfair treatment to her It's Showtime co-host Karylle.
The issue began after a video clip from the noontime show's recent episode circulated on the social media platform. It showed Karylle revealing that her co-host Vhong Navarro had been working hard to prepare for a song number, only for Vice to give the song to another.
"Vice, may request si Vhongskie. Kasi last time nagre-rehearse siya sa umaga, tapos binigay mo sa iba yung kanta niya," Karylle said to Vice, to which she remarked, "Anong problema natin, Karylle?"
Karylle went on with the conversation, replying, "Hindi, natatawa lang kami kasi isang buwan, pinraktis daw niya."
Vice then asked Vhong why he didn't perform the song himself. Karylle then interjected, "Sa bawat sulok daw ng bahay niya pinraktis niya."
"Oh, okay na yan, Karylle," Vice said.

While Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Julueta, Ion Perez, Ryan Bang, MC at Lassy laughed by the exchange, the show's viewers saw the conversation in a different light.
Many said that the Unkabogable Star's treatment to Karylle was uncalled for, considering that she is one of the original hosts of It's Showtime.
"I felt bad for Karylle. She deserves better. Kung may ill-feelings ka, be professional on screen and talk it out privately, 'di yung on national TV pa talaga na parang bastusan," one user wrote on Twitter.
"I have always been a fan of Karylle and I know that she belongs on that show, but it hurts to see her being treated this way by her 'friends.' Karylle deserves better," another one posted.
One user even encouraged the singer and actress to leave the noontime show if she feels that she is no longer happy there, writing, "If the show no longer serves her, then maybe it is time to open her self to other opportunities. She’s a very talented artist. She deserves the best."
Other netizens meanwhile observed that despite being one of the longest hosts on It's Showtime, Karylle has been sidelined by newer and more popular members such as Kim Chiu.
"Karylle, you deserve better treatment. [D]ito pa nga lang sa dance number nila for Vhong, kung seniority ang pag-uusapan, mas deserve ni Karylle 'yung position ni Kim," one user wrote, accompanying the post with a picture showing Karylle being positioned on the side while Kim is placed near the center during the performance.

Amid the issue, Kim Atienza, a former host of the noontime show, wrote on Twitter, "I love you, Karylle."
Vice has since gotten wind of netizens calling her out for what she did and has since "acknowledged" her mistakes, promising to make it up for it, "Oh so I am being called out. Yes, I acknowledge na sablay ako dun. Potah sablay again. Bawi po ako. Bawi right away."
In a later tweet, she revealed that Karylle did not fester any ill feelings from their exchange, but that she still apologized for her behavior.
"Story time! Magkakasama kami ni Karylle, Tyang Amy and Anne sa dressing room. Hindi raw sya na-offend when I asked her. But I still apologized. So to simplify, we are okay," Vice wrote.
