Karylle, Yael Yuzon renew wedding vows on 10th anniversary
It's Showtime host Karylle and Sponge Cola guitarist Yael Yuzon have tied the knot once again.
The couple renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony on their 10th anniversary on March 9 at the Ateneo De Manila University - Church of the Gesu attended by their family and friends, including Karylle's mother Zsa Zsa Padilla.
For the vow renewal, Karylle wore an embroidered white dress with terno sleeves, while Yael wore a barong vest over a black long-sleeved shirt. Both their outfits were designed by Jorel Espina. In an Instagram story, the It's Showtime host said that she originally wanted to wear her husband's top.
Her Instagram stories continue to show glimpses of the event, which featured a mass and in one post from Yael's brother, former Pupil guitarist Yan Yuzon, the couple sang the song Anima Christi together.
Yael's bandmates Armo Armovit, Gosh Dilay, and Tedmark Cruz were also in attendance, with Gosh and Armo playing music for the mass.
"Congratulations, K and Yael! It was a beautiful ceremony for your renewal of vows!" Zsa Zsa wrote on Instagram.
"Glad to have been in town for the renewal of your vows on the tenth year of your marriage. As a witness to your journey together, I wish you more of what has been so central to your lasting union: deep faith, mutual support and most importantly, true friendship," Yan wrote.
Yael proposed to Karylle again on Feb. 26 on It's Showtime ahead of their wedding anniversary.
"Magte-ten years na kami na kasal, and 'yung thing kasi with being kasal na kayo ng 10 years, parang mas na-aanalyze mo 'yung mga things through the ups and downs," Yael said. "Kung sigurado ka back then, mas madaling maging sigurado now kasi mayroon na tayong 10 years together."
"Will you marry me again?" he asked as he knelt before his wife who gave him a resounding "yes."
Yael and Karylle got together in 2010 and dated for three years before tying the knot in 2014.
