BTS' Jin to perform solo single 'The Astronaut' with Coldplay live in Argentina

Fans of BTS and Coldplay are in for a treat this October as BTS' member Jin is set to perform his solo single "The Astronaut" for the the first time with the British rock band during their upcoming concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This was announced through a statement published by BTS' music label Big Hit Music in the K-pop band's Weverse page. It was also revealed in Coldplay's Instagram account.

According to the announcement, Jin will be making a special appearance at Coldplay’s "Music Of The Spheres" tour stop in Argentina, where he will belt out his upcoming debut solo single together with them on stage.

The Astronaut is scheduled to be released officially at midnight on Oct. 28. Afterwards, the live performance of the song will be held at the Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires at 7:00 pm Eastern Time (7:00 am Philippine Time).

Even if you can't book a flight to Argentina to attend the concert live, you can still watch the performance as it will be broadcasted live in over 3,500 cinemas in more than 75 countries and regions.

Due to time zone differences, however, fans will get to watch the concert on Oct. 28 in North and Latin American cinemas and Oct. 29 for other countries in the world.

You can get tickets and view the list of cinemas that will show the live performance at coldplaycinema.live. In the Philippines, the cinemas where you can watch the concert as of writing are in SM Sta. Mesa, SM Megamall, SM North Edsa, SM Grand Central, SM Aura, SM Mall of Asia, SM S'Maison DC, SM Fairview, SM BF Paranaque, SM Southmall, SM Sta. Rosa, SM Dasmarinas, and SM Clark.

According to the website of SM Cinema, the tickets are priced at P600. 

Jin first shared that he is planning to release solo material at BTS’ recent ‘Yet To Come’ concert that was held on Oct. 15 in Busan. Following this, the singer confirmed that he has collaborated with Coldplay to write The Astronaut.

This marks the second time that BTS and Coldplay have worked together after they previously collaborated on the song "My Universe", which was released in September last year.
