Heart Evangelista got emotional as she talked about wanting to have a baby.

In an interview with Boy Abunda for an event with GCash, Heart was asked when she would throw a lavish party.

"If I had a baby," the socialite answered, adding that she was beginning to tear up about the topic.

As Boy moved on to the next question, Heart said, "Naiiyak pa rin ako." Then the TV host went back to the topic that tugged on the actress' heartstrings to ask her what was it about the baby that made her tear up.

"Because I used to question a lot before why I couldn't [have a baby]. It's so hard when you question yourself, a lot of people say things, but when I look back at my life, even the people, the experiences I had, all the hardships of being alone, it makes sense now," she said.

"And I feel like if there's any moment that I should be blessed with a baby, it should be now because I feel like I'm ready as a person and I would be able to give more, because I'll be able to tell her more and share more wisdom," Heart added.

The socialite even joked about how her fur baby Panda has been at the receiving end of what she can share."Kaya ang talino ni Panda. She knows everything," she quipped.

Heart, who has been married to Sen. Chiz Escudero since 2015, got pregnant with twin babies in 2018 but later lost them in a miscarriage. At the time, she said she was afraid of getting pregnant but when she did, she realized how badly she wanted it.

In an interview with Boy Abunda in May 2023, the actress said she didn't know if she would be a mom again. "I don't allow myself to be heartbroken dahil may bagay na hindi binigay sa 'kin. Because I'm always grateful," she said.

In September 2022, she had undergone in vitro fertilization (IVF), which she said was "very difficult and painful."
