Aespa and LE SSERAFIM confirmed to make their comeback in May 2023
Good news, MYs and FEARNOTs! Two of the biggest girl groups from the fourth generation are set to make their comeback to the K-pop scene in May.
South Korean media outlet Soompi reported on Thursday, March 16 that aespa is gearing up for their album release in early May.
“aespa is preparing to make a comeback aimed for May. Please look forward to it,” said a source from SM Entertainment.
The news comes ten months after their EP release titled Girls in July 2022, which included their hit track Illusion and Girls.
The quartet was initially set to make their comeback in February, but was put on hold “due to internal conflicts within the company.”
Aespa is a four-member girl group composed of Giselle, Winter, Karina, and Ningning. They debuted in November 2020 with the song Black Mamba.
Soompi also announced the comeback of Le Sserafim in May, seven months after the release of their hit song Antifragile in October 2022.
“The exact comeback date will be officially announced later on,” their agency Source Music said.
Le Sserafim is a five-member girl group composed of Yun-jin Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae. They debuted in May 2022 with six members, but Kim Ga-ram left the group in July 2022.
They are known for their hit songs Antifragile, Fearless, Sour Grapes, and Blue Flame, among others.
