Enrique Gil on Liza Soberano: 'Til the day I die, I will always support her'
Enrique Gil is a proud and supportive boyfriend to his long-time partner, Liza Soberano, who recently made her Hollywood debut with the premiere of Lisa Frankenstein.
"I've always been a supporter since day one. Sabi ko talaga, 'til the day I die, I will always support her," Enrique told reporters during the Philippine premiere of Liza's latest movie on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
"This is her dream, you know? Whatever she wants to be in her life, if it's her dream, I'm all for it," he said.
The 31-year-old actor also shared that he's spending Valentine's Day with his mom as Liza will be in the United States for promotional activities for her film.
He, however, revealed that his significant other is set to return to the Philippines on Feb. 13 for a work commitment, expressing his hope that they could celebrate their love then.
This comes a few weeks after Enrique shut down breakup rumors between him and Liza, which started early last year when fans noticed that Liza hasn’t been posting about Enrique on her social media pages, even on his birthday in March.
In a recent interview, he noted that they are "happy" and they're both "just really busy" with their individual projects. "I think we just realized na in life, parang we shouldn't always be centered around each other. We can do more, grow more, achieve more. And it just makes us better," he explained.
The LizQuen loveteam debuted in the teleserye Forevermore in 2014. Liza and Enrique were in a relationship for the past eight years, though they only went public about their status in 2019.
