Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are 'moving on separately' amid divorce rumors—report
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been reflecting on their relationship separately amid weeks of rumors that their marriage has become strained.
Sources close to the couple told PEOPLE that Jennifer "hasn't seen Ben for weeks" as she is currently spending time in New York City and the Hamptons, while Ben is situated in Los Angeles.
"They’re moving on separately. Jennifer is trying to find a new home to start fresh," the source said.
"Considering everything that's going on, Jennifer is having a good summer. She's been off and able to focus on what's next. She’s enjoyed spending time with her kids, family, and friends," they added. "She always has good attitude even when things are not perfect."
Divorce rumors have swirled around the couple since May, with initial reports claiming that Affleck was spotted staying at a separate house in Los Angeles for a week or so. The rumors were further fueled following Lopez's lone appearance at the Met Gala, where she served as co-host.
While the speculations were seemingly put to rest after the two were seen together to attend Ben's 15-year-old child Fin's school play, the rumors spiraled once more when they are reportedly selling the mansion they bought together in May 2023 for $68 million (P3.9 billion).
They bought their Beverly Hills home, which sits in an exclusive six-acre promontory, in 2023 for $60,850,000. The mansion houses 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, 15 fireplaces, a cinema, a wine room, a whiskey lounge, a spa, and a 5,000-square-foot sports facility.
Jennifer is now busying herself searching for a new property in Los Angeles, with an insider telling PEOPLE that she recently checked a home in Beverly Hills that "offers a high level of privacy on a quiet street with A-list neighbors."
This isn't the first time that Ben and Jennifer, known to fans as "Bennifer," experienced trouble in paradise in terms of their relationship. The two started their romance in 2002 before calling off their engagement two years later and starting their own families with other partners.
It wasn't until 2021 that they reignited their romance and married twice: an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas and a formal affair in Georgia in 2022.
