Internet users note Catriona Gray's absence from Sam Milby's 40th birthday celebration
Sam Milby left social media users wondering about his relationship status with Catriona Gray after he was spotted celebrating his 40th birthday without her.
The actor recently shared some glimpses of how he spent his motorcycle-themed birthday. While he opted for a more intimate celebration with his nearest and dearest, some notable faces in the mix were his fellow actors Gerald Anderson and John Prats.
Going by the theme of his surprise birthday, Sam wore a black leather biker jacket as he posed next to his cake which had a motorcycle print on the side and a helmet decoration on top.
While some showered the local star with their heartiest greetings, other online users got intrigued when they noticed that his fiancé Catriona was nowhere to be seen in the photos.
This led to them wondering about her absence and their relationship status.
"So if Catriona is not here..... the news is true," one user wrote in the photos posted by Nice Print Photography.
"Na-surprise din kami. Wala si Cat," another commented.
Others seemed to still have hope for the couple's reconciliation, saying, "Happy 40th birthday. Sana you pa rin and Catriona."
Catriona's absence from Sam's celebration comes in the same month when the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder wiped her engagement photo with the actor from her Instagram page.
The beauty queen announced her engagement to Sam in February 2023 by sharing a sweet photo of them holding coffee cups with "Mr. Milby" and "Future Mrs. Milby" written on them. She also gave a look at her engagement ring in the snap.
A year later, breakup rumors sparked after Catriona was spotted without her engagement ring in her photos.
Their agency Cornerstone Entertainment later confirmed that Catriona and Sam are going through a rough time but noted they are "actively working on resolving these issues together." They also asked the public for privacy "as they navigate through this situation."
