LOOK: Diego Loyzaga, Alexis Suapengco celebrate daughter's first birthday, christening
Actor Diego Loyzaga and yoga instructor Alexis Suapengco's daughter just had her christening and first birthday celebration.
The pair on May 26 reposted the Instagram Story entries of their loved ones attending Hailey Page's big day, which had a theme of pink. The celebration also had lots of balloons and ribbons in pastel colors.
Guests include showbiz personalities Billy Crawford, Coleen Garcia, Janno Gibbs and Julia Barretto; entrepreneur Phoebe Fructuoso; beauty queens Gita Gumabao, Ma. Francesca Taruc and Rethiana Rosy; Crocs marketing head France Flores; businessman Joseph De Guzman; makeup artist Arlita Domingo; and content creator Stevie Eigenmann.
A video in the Story entries showed Diego carrying Hailey to blow out her cake's candle while everybody sang her a happy birthday. Alexis was beside them clapping and dancing.
Another video showed Diego on the microphone, recalling Suapengco's labor and noting how long and difficult it was.
Days before Father's Day in June 2023, Diego announced that he became a dad and called it the "best birthday gift ever." He, however, didn't reveal details about Alexis at the time.
In November of that year, Diego, on Toni Gonzaga's talk show, said he would give his daughter everything he didn’t have and support her hobbies as much as he could.
Though he and his yet-to-be-named partner hadn’t been married, he said they intended to always be present for their daughter.
Last January, however, Alexis came forward as the mother of Diego's daughter. On Instagram Story, she accused him of kicking her out of his home so another woman could come over. She also accused Diego of threatening to not provide for their daughter if she wouldn't take down her post.
In response, Diego in an already-deleted post said his baby "will be taken care of definitely," though noted that he's "not denying anything else."
Diego is known for his roles in the teleseryes Mara Clara, Pangako Sa ‘Yo, and Pusong Ligaw, and movies The Breakup Playlist, Bloody Crayons, and Mama’s Girl. His latest project was Will You Be My Ex with Julia Barretto last June.
He also portrayed a younger version of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in Maid in Malacañang and Martyr or Murderer.
