G-Dragon personally appeared before the authorities for the preliminary investigation regarding his alleged drug-related charges, in which he tested negative.

According to a report by South Korean outlet Soompi, G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji Yong, attended the preliminary investigation on Nov. 6 at the Narcotics Unit of the Regional Investigation Department of Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, where he underwent reagent test and submitted his hair and urine samples for investigation.

“The results came back negative. I’ve also requested an urgent thorough examination.” the K-pop star told the media.

Further sharing about what went down during the session, he said that he hasn’t submitted his mobile phone but expressed that he is willing to cooperate in case it is requested for additional investigation.

The Crayon singer also added that there wasn’t any evidence regarding his alleged drug abuse, and he “[doesn’t] believe there would be any.”

Despite the questioning, the K-pop star said he doesn’t believe that the investigation was “unreasonable,” but stressed that he hopes for a fair resolution.

“I don’t think it’s unreasonable. The police are not personally after me; they are just doing their job based on someone’s statement. I also think that I am here for the investigation because it’s part of my job to deny or rather I’d say, to prove that the allegations are unfounded,” he told the media.

“But in any case, I hope for a fair resolution, and I hope that unverified claims will not be insisted upon,” he added.

G-Dragon said that he wasn’t sure yet of what was going to happen, but then hoped for authorities to release the results as soon as possible. He also hopes that for his fans to be “not too worried.”

“I hope you believe in me and await [the results],” he said.

G-Dragon was first booked for investigation on Oct. 25 for claims of drug use, and he has since denied claims, stressing that “there is no truth to the [claim] that I have taken drugs.”

Other K-pop stars were also rumored to be involved in his case, including BTS, LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon, and (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon and Park Sun Joo. Their agencies and the police, however, immediately refuted such accusations.
