Ed Sheeran spent his time in the Phillippines relishing in some local cuisines!

In an Instagram post by Margarita Forés, who runs a variety of restaurants in the country and was named Asia's Best Female Chef in 2016, she gushed at meeting Ed in person and having the chance to prepare Filipino food for him.

They had their food trip at Steak & Frice, a steakhouse that recently opened its doors in Bonifacio Global City in December last year. It is owned by Margarita's son Amado, who is the same restauranteur behind a mano and Ramen Ron.

"So blessed to have met you and shared Steak & Frice and Filipino food with you, Ed Sheeran," Margarita wrote in the caption.

Steak & Frice's main highlight in their menu is their French Fries and Steak Rice dish, where you can choose between US Ribeye at P3,650, S&F Striploin at P3,550, and Chateaubriand at P3,950.

They also offer a variety of starters with an added Filipino twist, such as their Cheese Pimiento Puffs, Salted Honey Parker House Rolls, and Onion Flowers with Dad's Basketball Sauce.

Ed came to the Philippines for his much-awaited + - = ÷ x Tour in Manila held at the SMDC Festival Grounds, Paranaque City, where Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben served as one of the opening acts.

This March 2024 concert marks Ed's third time to perform in the country following his concerts in 2015 and 2018.

In an interview with 24 Oras, Ed said his Pinoy fans have a special place in his heart.

"No other place on Earth has fans like the Philippines," he said in the interview. "The first time I came to the Philippines and I've never ever felt that much love from a place ever. Everywhere I went it was pandemonium, it's the first time I actually felt like a star."
