Former 'Hannah Montana' star Mitchel Musso arrested for public intoxication, theft

Former Disney star Mitchel Musso was arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft. 

According to a FOX News report on Sunday, Aug. 28 (U.S. Time), Musso was arrested by the Rockwall Police Department after being reported for public disturbance at a local hotel on Saturday night. 

The local police shared in a statement that the 32-year-old actor entered the hotel, took a bag of chips, and began eating them, but when the store staff told him to pay, Musso became "verbally abusive and left without rendering payment." 

The Hannah Montana actor was caught by the police outside the hotel, where they saw him “demonstrate signs of intoxication." He was arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft under $100 (over P5,000). 

Upon investigation, the local police also found that he had several pending traffic warrants.  

"He was transported to the Rockwall County Detention Center where he was booked in for the charges listed above,” they said. 

He was later released after posting a $1,000 bond (over P50,000). 

Musso is known for his role as Oliver Oken in the hit Disney classic, Hannah Montana starring Miley Cyrus. He was also a part of other Disney shows such as Wizards of Waverly Place, Phineas and Ferb, and Pair of Kings, among others.
