Is an Eraserheads reunion finally happening?
Could there be an Eraserheads reunion soon?
The hit OPM band got fans speculating that a reunion project is in the works after its members posted similar photos on their respective Instagram accounts.
They shared a teaser on Saturday, Sept. 17, showing a snap of a yellow letter E on the street. Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro wrote some lyrics from With A Smile in the caption, which made people think the possible get-together could have something to do with their hit album Circus that was released in 1994.
Lead vocalist Ely Buendia and Raimund Marasigan, meanwhile, shared the same photo without a caption.
Eraserheads became known for their much-loved projects Ultraelectromagneticpop! (1993), Circus (1994), and Cutterpillow (1995). They disbanded in 2002, but had a reunion concert in 2008.
In October, Buendia joked that there’s a chance for the group to reunite if Robredo runs for president. When the latter announced her presidential bid in the same month, Buendia noted that what he said was just a “half-serious joke.”
