Park Eun-bin, Cha Eun-woo in talks to star in new drama
Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo may star in a new superhero drama together!
According to a Soompi report, Eun-woo’s agency Fantagio confirmed that the actor has received an offer to star in the upcoming series with a working title, The Wonder Fools (previously titled The B Team) and is now reviewing it with a “favorable outlook.”
Eun-bin was first reported to star in the new series in April, where she will play the role of Eun Chae Ni, an intelligent, courteous, and hardworking granddaughter of a restaurant owner. As she ages, her unconventional heart condition leads to a gradual regression into childish behavior, making her life increasingly dangerous.
The Wonder Fools will tell the story of “flawed” superheroes who are unable to control their superpowers, “resulting in them inadvertently wielding their abilities."
It's set to be directed by Yoo In Sik, who also helmed hit dramas like Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Dr. Romantic, and Vagabond. The script will be written by Heo Da Joong who also wrote the action-comedy film Extreme Job.
More details, including other cast members, filming date, and Eun-woo's role have yet to be announced.
Eun-bin debuted as a child actress in 1998's White Nights 3.98. She is known for her lead roles in hit K-dramas such as Hello, My Twenties!, Hot Stove League, Do You Like Brahms?, The King's Affection, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and Castaway Diva.
Eun-woo, meanwhile, starred in the series True Beauty, A Good Day To Be a Dog, and Gangnam Beauty. He is also a K-pop idol under the group ASTRO.
