MAMAMOO+ cancels 'Two Rabbits Code' Manila concert
It has only been a month since Filo Moomoos were surprised with the announcement that MAMAMOO+ is holding a fan concert in the country. Now, fans of the K-pop duo are faced with bad news: the show is happening no more.
MAMAMOO's agency, Rainbow Bridge World (RBW), announced the cancellation of MAMAMOO+'s "TWO RABBIT CODE" Manila concert on the fandom platform Daum Fancafe. They said that the fan concert had been canceled because of "difficulties in proceeding due to local circumstances."
"We sincerely apologize to the Philippine fans who waited for the MAMAMOO+ fan concert and ask for your generous understanding," the announcement read.
MAMAMOO+ consists of Solar and Moonbyul who are both part of the South Korean girl group MAMAMOO along with Hwasa and Wheein.
Their supposed fan concert was announced by local events organizer OctoArts Entertainment on Oct. 2, with the date set to Dec. 17 and venue at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
It was planned to be part of the duo's "Two Rabbits Code" Asia tour, which began with a two-night concert in Seoul on Sept. 16 and 17. The Manila leg was scheduled to follow the duo's performances in Singapore on Nov. 15 and Kuala Lumpur on Nov. 17.
Its recent cancellation is yet another let-down for Filo Moomoos, who were also expecting to watch the quartet at "The Super Stage by K-pop in Manila" concert in August. OctoArts Entertainment announced the event's cancellation on July 25 without citing any reasons.
Meanwhile, the local event organizer has yet to release its official announcement about the cancellation of MAMAMOO+'s December concert in Manila.
