WATCH: GMA drops first teaser for the Philippine adaptation of 'Start-Up'
We'll be seeing Philippines' Good Boy, Nam Do San, and Seo Dal-mi sooner than expected!
GMA Network gave a glimpse of the first adaptation of the 2020 Korean drama series Start-Up, which is set to make its television premiere this September.
The 30-second teaser posted on the network’s official YouTube channel introduces acclaimed actor Alden Richards (Tristan), who will play the role of Han Ji-pyeong or Good Boy.
Playing opposite Richards is Bea Alonzo, who will play the role of Dani or popularly known in the K-drama as Seo Dal-mi.
The new on-screen pair will embark on the story of dreams, career, and love alongside Jeric Gonzales, Yasmien Kurdi, and Gina Alajar, to name a few. The long-awaited series will be led by the direction of Jerry Sineneng and Dominic Zapata.
It was on March 7 when GMA Network announced that it has acquired the exclusive rights with CJ ENM for the show’s Philippine remake.
On July 16, Alonzo posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the series with her co-stars.
This is Alonzo’s first project as a Kapuso actress after she transferred to the network on July 1, 2021. Alonzo is known for her roles in One More Chance, The Love Affair, and Four Sisters and a Wedding, among others, when she was still an actress in ABS-CBN.
