'I have to clear this up': Denise Julia pauses social media break following BJ Pascual's claims against her

Singer-songwriter Denise Julia is pausing her social media break after BJ Pascual detailed his alleged unpleasant experience with her and her team when he was asked about the "worst celebrity" he has ever worked with.

The B.A.D singer announced her return to social media amid her hiatus on X late Monday, Dec. 23, saying she's set to release a statement on Christmas Day.

“Dec. 25th on my [IG] stories! Paused on the [social media] break. I have to clear this up," she tweeted. "Merry [Christmas]."

She also quoted a tweet from her follower who said, "[She's] gonna give us the screenshots, [I'm] here for it," with three exclamation marks.

This comes a few days after Pascual openly talked about his alleged unpleasant experience with Julia and her team, claiming that the latter canceled their supposed shoot for Julia's album cover at the last minute and refused to pay cancellation fees.

“I have heard so many bad things about her, so I guess medyo kasalanan ko rin that I still took the job," Pascual said in his guest appearance on Killa Kush’s podcast.

"Nakita ko naman kasi may potential, may igaganda pa," he continued. "Ang babayaran na lang nila is manpower and materials. There is no talent fee. This is charity work na.”

Some fees were still needed for the production, he said. "Hindi naman libre 'yung pagkain, 'yung studio, but we're handling production so everything is gonna come from us. So lahat 'yan naka-itemize doon sa Excel and syempre may fee pa rin naman ako doon for equipment, my assistants."

The night before the scheduled shoot, however, Julia’s team informed Pascual they wanted to cancel it, with her manager insisting that they couldn't commit to the shoot the next day.

Pascual noted they had to pay cancellation fees for the studio, production designer, and the stylist, which he had to pay for.

Thankfully, they were able to push through with the shoot as another celebrity agreed to do it.

After that incident, he said he "never heard" from Julia again. "No thank you, no sorry, no anything. Nothing," he claimed.
