Sharon Cuneta shares BTS clip of reunion with KC Concepcion before concert: 'It's the first time I saw her since January'
Sharon Cuneta and her daughter KC Concepcion had one emotional reunion the night before her concert with her ex-husband Gabby Concepcion.
On Instagram, Sharon posted a vulnerable video of herself crying after being reunited with her eldest daughter after months apart.
In a behind-the-scenes clip, the Megastar was busy rehearsing for her "Dear Heart" concert when someone yelled "Mama" from below the stage. When Sharon saw who it was, she immediately buried her face in her hands as KC started climbing up the stage before the two of them shared a tight embrace.
In another clip, Gabby was shown to have joined their reunion, handing Sharon a tissue to wipe away her tears as he rubbed her shoulder.
"The night before our Mall of Asia Arena concert, KC surprised me while we were rehearsing. It was the first time I saw her again since my birthday on January 6," Sharon wrote in the caption of her post.
"Buti that night siya dumating, kasi nag-iyakan kaming mag-ina sa pagkamiss sa isa’t isa, eh kung sa show kami mismo nagkita malamang 'di kami nakakanta! Although nagtetextan at nagpadalahan naman kami ng gifts sa isa’t isa," the continued.
The actress highlighted that KC will always be her "baby number one" no matter how old they both get.
Their touching interaction also made many of Sharon's followers emotional, who took to the comments section to share how moved they were by their mother-daughter relationship.
"It's obvious that they all love each other naman talaga. Madami lang talaga misunderstandings," one user wrote.
Another one commented, "Grabe, dito ako mas umiyak, dun sa MOA na pagkikita nila 'di pa ako umiyak doon. Ito talagang scene na 'to yung ramdam mong miss na miss na miss nila ang isat isa."
KC made a special appearance at her parents' concert that was held on Oct. 27, where she sang Sharon's song Ikaw.
"Ang sarap niyong makita together sa isang stage," KC said while embracing her mother.
"'Yung past, past na 'yun e, but what matters is 'yung ngayon and 'yung bukas. And so pareho ko kayong mahal na mahal, na mahal na mahal," KC added before being met with loud applause from the audience.
Sharon, in turn, also had some sweet words for her daughter, "I trust in all the values we instilled in you, and I'm sure you'll make not only me but your papa very proud. I love you."
"You both are my dear heart," KC told her parents.
Elsewhere in the concert, Sharon also apologized to her daughter for not being able to give her the complete family she wanted with Gabby, saying, "Sorry, KC. We couldn't give you that complete family. But you have two families. Papa and I never stopped loving you. You were never the problem." KC replied: "I love you."
Sharon and Gabby tied the knot in 1984. They welcomed KC a year later but got legally separated in 1987 until their marriage was finally annulled in 1993.
Sharon is now married to former senator Kiko Pangilinan, while Gabby is now with Genevieve Gonzales.
