Who’s who? Filipino celebrities and their international lookalikes
They say that no two persons are ever alike. Some people even talk about how their own selfies do not seem to match what their mirror versions show.
However, several of our local celebrities seem to have long-lost twins from showbiz in other parts of the world. Can you tell who’s who among the stars listed down below?
Sofia Andres and Gal Gadot
The public has lately been buzzing over Sofia’s Instagram photos since early July and we can definitely see why! Seems like we’re looking at the next Wonder Woman because of the way the local actress’ slick back looks draw her closer to those of Israeli actress Gal Gadot. With that doe-eyed feature and chiseled face, the Kapamilya star can surely pass as Gal’s double.
Kuya Kim and Gong Yoo
Kaunting kaalaman! Did you know that weather anchor and tv host Kim Atienza got to personally tell Korean star Gong Yoo that they look alike? The two crossed paths in a press conference five years ago, and the Goblin actor finally got to meet his Filipino Oppa version.
Liza Soberano and Nancy of MOMOLAND
Kuya Kim is not alone in having a Korean doppelganger. Liza also stood face to face with K-pop idol Nancy, the Korean-American member of the girl group MOMOLAND. With both of their sharp noses, prominent cheekbones, thin lips, and pretty eyes exhibiting Eurocentric features, it’s no wonder that fans have been calling them lookalikes. The former Star Magic actress was even mistaken for the K-pop star last year.
Sarah Lahbati and Gigi Hadid
Zayn and Richard Gutierrez should make sure to do a double-take because their wives could pass off as gorgeous twin sisters. If it weren’t for their different hairstyles, people could probably have a slight difficulty telling the American model and Filipina actress apart.
Alden Richards and James Jirayu
Is it their captivating eyes, or is it the way both their skin look so flawless? It’s quite stupefying how Kapuso actor Alden and Thai singer-actor James share the same smile— bringing out all the charm that makes the ladies go weak on their knees.
Solenn Heussaff and Maggie Q
From their tall noses and plump lips down to their sharp jawline and slender necks, Solenn and Maggie’s resemblance is certainly evident. Hope the internet won’t be confused with the Filipino-French actress and the Mission: Impossible III star.
Janine Gutierrez and Lucy Hale
Are you suer that it was Lucy you saw in Pretty Little Liars? Who knows? Maybe Janine had sneaked inside the PLL set during taping. Jokes aside, the resemblance is definitely uncanny between the two just from with a glimpse of their beautiful wide eyes.
