BTS earns 3 Guinness World Records for highest socmed follows, now has 28
It's smooth like butter for BTS, as the K-Pop sensation just added three more Guinness World Records under its belt.
BTS now has a stellar 28 Guinness records, including V's two individual records. Of the total, it secured 13 in 2021 alone.
According to Guinness' March 4 release, BTS has the most followers on Instagram for a music group, with 60,151,959 followers on the platform as of February 2022.
The septet beat their own April 2021 record of 40,220,226.
When the individual BTS members joined Instagram in December of that year, V got the record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on Instagram, at 43 minutes. He also has the title for the fastest time to reach 10 million followers, at 4 hours and 52 minutes.
Since joining the TikTok craze, BTS has taken the platform by storm and now has the most followers, at 45.7 million. It's also ranked 16th in TikTok's overall most popular accounts.
On Twitter, meanwhile, the group has 44,167,059 followers, surpassing One Direction's record of 31,747,631 followers in 2017.
On Twitter, BTS and their fandom ARMY also registered a total of 422,228 engagements in 2019, earning the boys the most Twitter engagements (average retweets) for a music group, as well as the most Twitter engagements (average retweets). It was inducted into the Guinness World Records 2022 Hall of Fame last September.
