Veteran journalists Betty Go-Belmonte, Max Soliven and Art Borjal founded The Philippine Star in 1986, laying the groundwork for a newspaper that would stand for truth and fairness.
Today, the torch has been passed to the brilliant men and women behind The Philippine STAR who make its pages a vibrant hub of argument, reflection, humor and community engagement while remaining true to the founders’ vision.
We also put the spotlight on our own frontliners — our photojournalists — who along with our editors and reporters, put their lives on the line daily to help us tell the story.
