Gameboys is the story of two gamers who, despite the pandemic, found a romantic connection through gaming. "It was going to be in the BL or Boys Love genre — a genre that was already attracting a massive following onYouTube. We had a chance to ride the wave, so we went for it," wrote Perci Intalan, filmmaker and President of The IdeaFirst Company, for Star34.
Since then, it has produced 13 episodes, has more than three million views, and has a fanbase all over the world.
While Gameboys is in Filipino, subtitles in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Ukranian, Czech, Turkish, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and Arabic are also available.
Gameboys Level-Up Edition is coming to Netflix this December 30.
