Can you handle the most menacing serial killer, the goriest details, and not flinch at the chilling paranormal? You might be who MagellanTV is looking for to take on its second annual 24-hour True Crime Marathon.

This is a dream gig for certified true crime junkies who can’t get enough of the genre as the documentary streaming service is willing to pay a team of three perfect candidates $2,400 each (about P117,000) to watch 18 true crime documentaries with run times that range between 24 minutes and over two hours.

The line-up is a true crime fanatic’s wonderland as the documentaries include those that tackle the terrifying Manson family in The Family: Inside the Manson Cult; the chilling story of the days leading to the murder-suicide of the Jonestown cult in Jonestown: Paradise Lost; and The Columbine Massacre: In the Killer’s Mind, which tells a gripping story of how the two senior students murdered 13 people in a high school in Colorado in 1999.

Alongside watching the documentaries, the lucky chosen ones will be documenting their experience on social media. The streaming service will provide basic guidelines for tracking the journey of the participants to complete the binge.

Last year, the company hired one person to do the marathon for $1,000 (about P49,000).

Each of the chosen individuals, given that they complete the job requirements, will walk away with $2,400 cash and a one-year free membership to MagellanTV.

To stand out among the pool of hopefuls, those who are interested are encouraged to submit a video telling why they are the perfect candidate for the job.

In filling out the application form, you are required to have at least one social media account for you to be considered because one of the job requirements includes sharing your experience via social media platforms.

Applicants should be 18 years old and above and a resident of the United States.

According to MagellanTV, the selection process will be purely random but the selected applicant must meet the company’s requirements.

Deadline for submission is May 5, 2021.

So, if you (or anyone you know) are eligible to join, lasso your buddies and embark on a true crime journey that may actually let you earn money.
