The crazy, trippy WandaVision trailer is here
The excitement is building for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's planned outings on the small screen with the Disney Plus streaming service. People can't wait to finally watch the continuing stories of the Avengers withTV shows The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, and Ms. Marvel.
One show specifically is much-awaited, owing much to its strange premise and – considering what happened to one of the main characters on the Avengers: Infinity War movie – mysterious circumstances leading people to ask, "WTF?"
We're talking about WandaVision, the series featuring Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) who, as everyone is aware of, is (or was) dead after the events of infinity War.
This will be the first series from Marvel Studios to launch on Disney Plus and they just dropped the trailer today, showing how everything is still very much a mystery:
The trailer opens like a black and white TV show from the 1950s, complete with the soothing music of The Platters' Twilight Time as its soundtrack. It gets progressively weirder after that, shifting time periods and even a hint of the modern day which gives some clue as to what predicament Wanda and Vision are thrust into after the Avengers films ended.
The official show description goes, "The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems."
WandaVision will be available for streaming on Disney Plus tentatively before the end of 2020.
