‘Beyond heartwarming’: Millennials recall their fond childhood memories after Steve from ‘Blue’s Clues’ reveals he never forgot about them
It was 2002, and you arrived home from school. You were crying as you told your parents that a classmate made you cry. As a form of comfort, you’re allowed to watch Blue’s Clues for the rest of the day. But on one particular day, however, a sad day turned even sadder as Steve announced he’s off to college.
Fast forward to the present, Steve’s childhood friends are probably working at a new job, finishing college, or starting a family of their own.
Steve Burns from Blue’s Clues has played a huge part in the childhood of many millennials. Through the years, they grew up solving clues, waiting for the mail, and singing songs with the show’s other characters. Sometimes, they travel to different places through “Blue skidooing.” A new chapter began when he was replaced by his “cousin” Joe and Joshua—a sign that it’s time to grow up.
Following Burns’ heartfelt message to fans today, millennial netizens can’t help but share stories on how their favorite childhood friend affected their lives. Here are some of the heartfelt stories we found all over the internet:
Steve ? Blues Clues was my childhood show, and I've been helping out Steve with clues every single day when I was a child. As an adult, it made me tear up and, realized how time really flies so fast. I've been down lately so hearing those words from him made me feel relieved.
