Heads up, cinephiles: Cinemalaya 2022 is getting an extended run at Cinema '76
Cinemalaya '76, if you will.
The winning films from the recently concluded 18th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival will make their premiere at Cinema ‘76 Anonas.
Starting from August 24 until August 30, the screening will give a chance to indie fans and movie audiences who were not able to catch the Cinemalaya films at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and other partner cinemas around the country.
The 11 feature films lineup includes:
- Cinemalaya Best Film: The Baseball Player by Carlo Obispo
- Blue Room by Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagnalan
- 12 Weeks by Anna Isabelle Matutina
- Ginhawa by Christian Paolo Lat
- Bakit ‘Di Mo Sabihin? by Real Florido
- Bula Sa Langit by Sheenly Gener
- Angkas by Rain Yamson
- Batsoy by Ronald Espinosa Batallones
- Kaluskos by Roman Perez Jr.
- Kargo by TM Malones
- Retirada by Cynthia Cruz Perez and Milo Alto Paz
Ticket price for each full feature costs P250 / person. Meanwhile, the short films will also be available for viewing per batch.
"Cinema ’76 Film Society is honored to be a cinema partner in this year’s Cinemalaya Festival," said TBA Studios and Cinema '76's Daphne O. Chiu.
"It’s been two years since the festival had in-person screenings and as Cinemalaya fans ourselves, we’re excited to welcome indie fans, looking to catch some of the best films of the year."
