Talk about a golden moment!

Hidilyn Diaz, who won the Philippines' first-ever gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, bonded with Carlos Yulo, who earned the historic double gold for the country at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Instagram, Diaz shared photos of him and Yulo being all smiles, as the Eiffel Tower can be seen behind them. She's wearing a pink jacket and glasses, while Yulo, who's also wearing glasses, wore a white jacket showing the "Philippines" label and the national flag patch.

One photo showed Yulo holding his gold medals as Diaz placed her arms on his shoulder. Another photo showed Yulo with an agape mouth and raised right fist as Diaz displays a lovely smile.

"Salamat Caloy sa napakaganda at napakasayang pag-uusap!" the weightlifter wrote in the caption of her post, referring to the gymnast's nickname.

"Basta proud ako sa iyo, at lagi kitang ipagdarasal," she added, followed by the hashtags #FeelingAteHaidieTalaga and #ProudOfYouCaloy.

Showbiz figure Noel Ferrer, who serves as Diaz's manager, also published a separate post on Instagram about their meeting, describing it in all caps as "golden smiles" and "so inspiring."

"And so they met in Paris and Haidie sent me this message: 'I was happy to talk to him. Panatag ako na magiging ok siya sa pag-uwi niya Sir!'" Ferrer said, followed by several emojis and the hashtags #GoldStandard, #PinoyPride, and #ForeverGrateful.

Last Aug. 4, Yulo scored 15.116 points during the men's vault finals event, Manila time, beating Armenia's Davtyan (14.966) and Great Britain's Hepworth (14.946).

A day before that, he dominated the gymnastics men's floor exercise finals, scoring 15.000 during his pet event. Israel's Artem Dolgopyat finished silver with 14.966 and Britain's Jake Jarman got bronze with 14.933.

He's the second Filipino athlete to ever win a gold medal at the Olympics after Diaz finally clinched the elusive gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Yulo is getting tens of millions of cash and in-kind incentives from the national government and private companies, which Diaz also experienced at the time.
