‘Red, White & Royal Blue’ sequel is in the works
The love story of Alex and Prince Henry isn't over yet as a new Red, White & Royal Blue film has just been confirmed.
Prime Video announced on Friday, May 10 that the romantic film is getting a sequel, with Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez returning to their roles.
The film will be written by Matthew López and Casey McQuiston, who wrote the 2019 novel of the same name.
Meanwhile, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will return to produce the film alongside Michael McGrath and López. McQuiston will serve as the executive producer.
More details, including the other cast and the plot, are yet to be unveiled.
The first film follows the story of Alex Claremont-Diaz (Perez), the First Son of the United States, and Prince Henry (Galitzine), who is third in line to the British throne on their journey from being enemies to lovers while keeping it as a secret to avoid becoming media sensation internationally.
The hit film gained praise from critics and viewers, including getting a “Certified Fresh” rating on Tomatometer and a 93% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
