Kate Walsh returns to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in season 18
Great news for Grey’s Anatomy fans–actress Kate Walsh took Instagram by storm as she announced her comeback in season 18, which premieres on Sept. 30 on ABC. The post got 2 million views in just three hours.
After her last guest appearance as Dr. Addison Montgomery on season 8's episode 13 “If/Then,” where Meredith Grey looked at her past life choices, including her entanglement in a love triangle with Patrick Dempsey’s character (her onscreen-ex husband), Dr. Montgomery teased fans with her announcement as she said, “Well, well, well, would you look who it is? That’s right my loves, Dr. Addison Montgomery is coming back to Grey Sloan Memorial hospital and I’m so excited to be home again…”

Grey’s Anatomy is the longest running TV show still on air, according to Oracle Globe. Quartz, which reported that “Grey’s Anatomy is also the second most popular streaming show in the world, behind only The Office in minutes streamed (39 billion) on Netflix in 2020,” with over 15 million views per episode in their previous season. These streams accounts for all the seasons aired that is available on Netflix.
