WATCH: New ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ series trailer drops on Star Wars Day
In honor of Star Wars Day on May the 4th, Lucasfilm released the official trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi coming later this month.
The upcoming series on Disney Plus begins 10 years after the dramatic events of 2005's Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The special limited series in the Star Wars saga will start streaming on May 27 on Disney Plus,

Following the teaser trailer released last March, the official trailer puts the focus on Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) being hunted down by inquisitors. Reva, played by Moses Ingram, seems completely obsessed with taking down the Jedi Master.
The latest trailer features a lot of exciting new footage, and teases the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. While we don't see him fully on screen just yet, we do hear his signature breathing sound, and see the front of his iconic costume. The trailer is just packed with a lot of action sequences and clues to get Star Wars fans excited.
Obi-Wan Kenobi also stars Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
The Star Wars series is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Chow, McGregor, and Joby Harold.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney Plus on Friday, May 27, 2022. The first two of the six episodes will premiere together, with the remaining episodes dropping weekly after.
