Disney drops teaser trailer for 'Hocus Pocus' sequel
The Sanderson sisters are back for more of their wicked tricks!
Disney just released the teaser trailer for Hocus Pocus 2, the sequel to the 1993 comedy horror film of the same name.
The teaser, released on June 28, gives off a spooky and mysterious vibe as two young girls recite an incantation in the middle of the murky woods, which then brings back to life the legendary Sanderson sisters, Winifred, Sarah, and Mary.
The film is set 29 years after the original film, which followed a teenage boy resurrecting the sisters after lighting the Black Flame Candle. Now, the candle has been lit again, and this time, the sisters are looking for revenge. The fate of Salem now lies in the hands of three high-school students, who must stop the sisters before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.
Hocus Pocus 2 reunites actresses Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary respectively. The film also stars Doug Jones, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belisa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, and Tony Hale.
Anne Fletcher, the director of the romantic comedy films 27 Dresses and The Proposal, will helm the sequel.
Hocus Pocus 2 will debut on Disney Plus on September 30.
