'Money Heist' season 5 SPOILERS AHEAD: We're still not over *that* unexpected death and these on-set photos have us crying again
Money Heist's fifth and final season is now on Netflix and the high-octane, action-filled first part has left fans in tears with a death that we didn't see coming.
With that said, if you're not caught up with Money Heist season 5, this article might not be for you because it contains MASSIVE SPOILERS ahead. Stream the episodes on Netflix first to catch up.
Now, if you've seen the entire season already, let's wallow in grief reliving this Game of Thrones-esque twist as we take a look at on-set photos and tributes from castmates featuring the fallen character.
***SPOILERS AHEAD***
In the new season, the gang has been shut in for over 100 hours in the Bank of Spain. Split up from the rest of the group, Tokyo, Manila, and Denver are left to their own devices as the military rolls in. Unfortunately, Tokyo gets shot in the arms and legs leaving her unable to escape.
With enemies surrounding her, Tokyo pulls out a grenade, taking the big bad Gandia and others with her like the badass she was.
Úrsula Corberó, who plays Tokyo, took to Instagram to thank fans and cast members for their love, sharing behind-the-scenes and on-set snaps from the show.
Miguel Herrán, who plays Tokyo's love interest Rio, also posted a tribute to the fallen character, writing "It has been a pleasure to share this trip with you."
It's sad Tokyo won't be in the last five episodes of Money Heist (coming out in December), but at least she's together with Nairobi now.
