It's been a year since the release of Taylor Swift's surprise 2020 album "Folklore," and the singer has a special way to mark the occasion.
To celebrate the first anniversary of “Folklore,” Taylor Swift has released an “original” version of the track The Lakes as a gift to fans.
“To say thank you for all you have done to make this album what it was, I wanted to give you the original version of The Lakes,” Swift announced in her Instagram post on Saturday, July 24.
The Lakes is a bonus track included in the deluxe version of the album which talks about the singer’s experiences in the spotlight.
“Folklore” is Swift’s eighth album that was released in July 2020. The indie-folk album is a departure from the singer’s previous upbeat pop releases, where it explores themes of romanticism, nostalgia, escapism, and melancholia.
The album has been widely acclaimed by fans and critics and has won the “Album of the Year” award at the 63rd Grammy Awards.
