Bela Padilla, JC Santos to reunite for '100 Awit Para Kay Stella'
Bela Padilla and JC Santos are reuniting for a 100 Tula Para Kay Stella sequel.
Viva Films announced on Instagram its upcoming film titled 100 Awit Para Kay Stella on Oct. 8.
"Kumusta na kaya 'yung mga ginawa mong 'mundo' noon?" the production company wrote in its caption.
Jason Paul Laxamana is also returning to direct the movie.
The 2017 flick followed Fidel (played by JC), an honor student with a speech impediment and a love for poetry and Stella (played by Bela), an aspiring rocker. The two meet as freshmen in a college in Pampanga pursuing a psychology degree. Despite having different personalities, the two become fast friends.
Fidel falls for Stella and writes her poems to win her heart, as the rocker pursues her music career.
The film also starred Mayton Eugenio, Caleb Santos, Prince Stefan, Ana Abad Santos, and Dennis Padilla.
In a series of Instagram stories, Bela shared a glimpse at what went on when they shot the emotional scene between the two characters.
"This was so hard to shoot because we had so many camera angles and for more than an hour, [JC] and I had to sustain our emotions. So we would hide behind a tree (on the right side of the frame) and would just talk to each other as Fidel and Stella," she wrote.
"We said everything our script didn't dictate us to say. And to this day, only JC and I (and maybe our audioman if he was listening to us in between takes) heard Fidel and Stella's thoughts. And I knew from this moment that I would always work with JC. And we would always have each other's backs."
Other details surrounding the film, such as other cast members and the release date, have yet to be revealed.
