LOOK: 'Enchanted' sequel 'Disenchanted' releases first look photos with Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph
We're heading back to Andalasia.
Disney+ has finally released first look photos of Disenchanted, the highly-anticipated sequel to 2007's Enchanted.
Starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, and Idina Menzel, the original film turned the Disney trope on its head as it blended together animation and live-action to follow a young maiden named Giselle (Adams) who finds herself lost in New York.
The sequel was set in development as early as 2010, but schedule changes and the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the film for a 2022 streaming release.
In the first look photos, 15 years have passed since the events of the first film, and it looks as if Giselle and her family have decided to return to the fantasy land of Andalasia—although it's no longer in animation style.
Wearing regal clothing, Adams can be seen side-eyeing Maya Rudolph's Malvina Monroe, the film's main antagonist, following Susan Sarandon's Queen Narissa.
Dempsey's Robert Philip is also set for a return in the upcoming film.
Disenchanted is slated for a November 2022 release exclusively on Disney+
