YouTube Shorts to roll out AI-enabled creation tools on its new video editing app
Content creators can soon produce videos at ease as YouTube Shorts will be launching a series of AI-powered features where you can generate visuals that will help you connect better with your viewers.
The new tools aims to streamline the production of videos—from shooting to editing—so that you can create light yet impactful bite-sized content that today's fast-paced world prefer to engage with.
These tools will be able on YouTube's new app, called YouTube Create, which was introduced in September.
In case you’re not familiar, this free editing app allows you to create high-quality videos that you can directly upload to YouTube. What’s best is that it can be easily navigated and that you can create videos with a few clicks on your mobile phone. Some of its features are trimming automatic captioning, voiceovers, and a wide range of filters and effects to spruce up your content.
Its latest addition includes Dream Screen where users can generate AI-powered video and photo visuals in just seconds, just type your desired content on the prompt.
They will also launch Assistive Search in Creator Music that will help you set the video’s vibe through a wide range of audios, and to help you connect with your intended audience around the globe.
There’s also Aloud which will automatically dub your content in supported foreign languages.
These new features were introduced during YouTube's recently concluded Creator Content Summit where the video sharing platform also gave tips on eembracing AI and succeeding in YouTube Shorts.
“Brands want you to tell their stories in three ways,” said Tammy Nadela, Partnerships and Sponsorships Lead at Google Philippines during the summit.
He explains: “One is that you tell their story in such a way that viewers get to know their brand; second is so that they can engage better with their audience; and third is that they want you to help incite action in your audience.”
These features will not only help you elevate your informative and/or entertaining content; they also aim to help creators by focusing more on the relevance of the content itself, lessening the burden of familiarizing with the technicalities of the production process.
YouTube shared that they would begin testing the features late this year, before launching it officially in 2024.
