PAGASA Planetarium resumes operations this September
Calling all space lovers! The PAGASA Planetarium is re-opening to the public this September.
DOST-PAGASA announced the opening in a press release on Sept. 6, saying that the planetarium has completed its renovation.
The newly renovated planetarium will offer interactive lectures and entertaining shows about basic astronomy.
It has a 90-seating capacity, which is perfect for group tours. If you’re going in small groups, the spacious area will help you enjoy your stay while learning more about the cosmos—from the size and content of the observed universe, the development of the solar system, and its history and possible future.
The admission fee will be P25 per person, and the planetarium will be open from Mondays to Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Before this, DOST-PAGASA launched its second planetarium, which is also the first one in Mindanao, last May in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. It features an astronomical observatory, a gallery hall, a conference room, and a large dome-shaped projection theater that shows constellations, planets, and various astronomical phenomena.
