Lovi Poe mum on rumored network transfer, says 'everything is under negotiations'
With the transfer of Bea Alonzo to GMA-7, many showbiz denizens are keeping their eye out for other artists who may make the big switch as well.
One actress long rumored to change home networks is Lovi Poe, who was reported months ago to be fielding negotiations with ABS-CBN. She was even rumored to be part of the ABS-CBN local adaptation of the British drama Doctor Foster, though the role she was supposed to play eventually went to Sue Ramirez.
Reports later claimed Lovi is talking to both ABS-CBN and GMA-7.
So is the 32-year-old actress moving to the Kapamilya network, or will she stay with the Kapuso network, her home network since 2005?
Lovi remained silent on what her next career move will be when asked by Jimpy Anarcon of PEP.ph during a live online interview regarding her rumored network transfer on Tuesday, July 6.
But she pretty much admitted that negotiations are ongoing. “Right now, I want to respect both networks. I feel like… I think it’s best to keep it private, because all negotiations are private at this very moment,” Lovi said.
She added, “But I respect and adore everyone that’s part of it. Right now, I just want to keep it private kasi mataas yung respeto ko e (sa kanila). It’s hard to say right now.
This is similar to what Lovi said during the press conference for her upcoming movie, The Other Wife, on Monday, July 5.
“Right now, it's hard to say. Everything is under negotiations. I've just finished my show. We're still having the conversation,” Lovi said.
She added, “I think it’s best to keep it private because I don’t want to be… I want to respect both.”
Lovi did say that she’s open to working with Star Cinema, ABS-CBN film production arm. “Ako naman po kasi, I'm always open to working with anybody. To grow as an artist, I don't think you're supposed to box or keep yourself like just doing the same or working with the same people over and over again,” she said.
