No rain could stop the Filipino queer community from celebrating the annual Pride March.
This year, Pride PH hosted the "Love Laban 2 Everyone" festival held in Quezon City with two marches: the LOVE march and the LABAN march. Thousands of attendees flocked to the Quezon Memorial Circle on June 22, Saturday, to celebrate inclusivity and diversity.
The LOVE march kicked off in Tomas Morato and made its way through Quezon Avenue before culminating at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Participants in the LABAN march, meanwhile, assembled on Matalino Street, their route taking them along East Avenue before merging with the other group at the Circle.
The parade was a vibrant display of happiness, with members of the queer community proudly waving the rainbow flag and sharing joyful smiles with everyone around them.
The festivities culminated in a grand finale held within the venue itself, featuring appearances by renowned photographer BJ Pascual, actress Chie Filomeno, and local drag queen favorites Brigiding and Precious Paula Nicole.
The festivities, however, were cut short due to inclement weather. Organizers announced a pause at around 6:30 p.m. to prioritize the safety of everyone in attendance. Due to the unforeseen turn of events, headliners BINI, Vice Ganda, and Gloc-9 were unable to grace the stage with their performances.
