Lady Gaga and Adam Driver stun in the trailer of 'House of Gucci'
MGM Studios just dropped its first official trailer for House of Gucci, which stars Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, following the release of its movie posters.
The hotly-anticipated movie based on Sara Gay Forden’s 2001 book, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed, details the assassination of Maurizio Gucci (Driver) and the family's demise. Singer-songwriter Gaga plays as his ex-wife, Patrizia Gucci, who was accused and convicted of orchestrating her husband's murder.
“I don’t consider myself to be a particularly ethical person,” says Gaga in the trailer. “But I am fair.”
House of Gucci is directed by Ridley Scott and is written by Roberto Bentivegna. It also includes a star-studded cast: Al Pacino, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.
Early this year, the family of Guccio Gucci expressed their dismay over the film. Patrizia Gucci told Associated Press that they are "truly disappointed" and are worried that it "goes beyond the headline-grabbing true-crime story and pries into the private lives of the Guccio Gucci heirs.”
“I speak on behalf of the family. They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system. … Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything. But there is a borderline that cannot be crossed,” she added.
