Kristen Stewart plays an emotional Princess Diana in the first trailer for 'Spencer'

Kristen Stewart transforms into Princess Diana—signature hairstyle and accent, included—in the first trailer for Spencer, an upcoming drama film about the beloved "people's princess".

NEON films dropped the first trailer for the Pablo Larrain-directed film, which shows Diana's struggling marriage with Prince Charles, played by Jack Farthing. The film company also released the first poster showing Diana in a gown, bowled over in tears.

Set in the holiday of 1991, the teaser gives a glimpse of the extravagant life at the royal palace, which includes lavish meals, fancy outfits, and grandeur decor. Stewart is seen emotional throughout the clip, trying to evade the paparazzi and confiding to a friend.

"They know everything," the friend says, played by Sally Hawkins. "They don't," replies the Princess of Wales.

The cast also includes Olga Hellsing as Sarah, Duchess of York, Amy Manson as Anne Boleyn, and Niklas Kohrt as Prince Andrew.

Spencer is scheduled to release in theaters on Nov. 5.
