Canva unveils 'magic' artificial intelligence tools in major update
Canva has launched new tools powered by artificial intelligence to make designing much easier for its 125 million users.
On Thursday, March 23, the graphic design company unveiled its “Magic” AI tools, which could help users save time in designing presentations and logos as they come up with quality output in just a few clicks.
Included in the major update is Magic Design, which allows you to create personalized templates from an image.
Magic Presentation, meanwhile, helps you create slideshow presentations in an instant. All you have to do is share your goal in five words or more.
There's also the Magic Edit, which enables you to add, replace, or erase elements in your image in a snap. You would just need to brush over the area you want to improve and watch Canva do its work.
Magic Write is a copywriting tool that used to be available only on Canva Docs. This feature lets you come up with striking copies or bios for your social media strategy in 18 languages.
On top of its "magic" features, Canva also introduced the following functions:
- Translate, which lets you translate texts into over 100 languages;
- Draw, which lets you scribble or draw in designs using a mouse;
- Beat Sync, which allows you to match a video with your chosen audio; and
- Animation, which enables you to incorporate moving images into your design in various styles and speeds.
Canva is a free online design and publishing tool "with a mission to empower everyone in the world to design anything and publish anywhere." Launched in Perth, Australia in 2013, it offers ready-made templates for presentations, posters, and infographics, among others.
