All roads lead to Makati as it sets the stage for Nostalgia Meets the Future: Ayala Avenue New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2024. In keeping with the tradition of celebrating the turn of the millennium and marking 24 years since the epic countdown, this year’s comeback is set to be even more spectacular and grand. The theme invites everyone on a journey that is both a nod to the past and a look into the future. The countdown will take place on Dec. 31 at Ayala Avenue, commencing at 7:00 p.m. and continuing into the night.
The vibrant street party, organized by Ayala Land and Make It Makati, in partnership with the local Government of Makati, champions Pinoy Pride by uniting global Filipino artists.
Over the years, Ayala Land and Make It Makati have been dedicated to bringing fresh and innovative experiences to the community. Ayala Land takes great pride in introducing unique concepts to the neighborhoods and constantly pushes itself to go beyond expectations, delivering innovative yet suitable offerings for each of its developments. By collaborating with top-notch experts in creative event production, Ayala Land aims to create dynamic, interactive, and enjoyable attractions and events that foster unity in the community.
“Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez will once again be headlining the event, 24 years after she performed at the very first grand-scale New Year’s countdown in 1999. Joining her on stage are the “Kings of P-Pop” SB19, namely Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, whose hit single Gento hit the Billboard’s record charts this year.
Rock out on stage with Sponge Cola, get inspired by the beats of hip-hop sensation Al James, and witness a powerhouse of talent from musical theatre artists led by Gab Pangilinan and Myke Salomon of Mula Sa Buwan fame.
Along with iconic performances, event-goers can expect state-of-the-art technology as well. The main stage for the event, which will be located at the intersection of Makati Avenue and Ayala Avenue, will feature a 3D-stage setup, complete with 7-meter tall LED screens on either side, to bring an immersive experience for all attendees.
The event is set to be hosted by the dynamic duo Baus Rufo and Ai Dela Cruz, with direction from the acclaimed concert director Paolo Valenciano.
A breathtaking symphony of lights and fireworks show that will illuminate the Makati skyline will cap the night of revelry, as the minutes tick down to 2024. DJ Brian Cua and DJ Mike Lavet will keep the party in high spirits, with signature beats leading the crowd into an all-night dance party.
The celebration extends beyond the stage to a gastronomic adventure, with various Makati establishments collaborating to offer a delectable selection of food choices. From lunchtime ‘til midnight, feast with friends and family before the main event begins.
