LIST: TV shows and movies to watch this August 2024
Rainy days are here again! Thankfully, there are a number of fun movies and TV shows to watch.
The Cinemalaya Film Festival is running this month and new TV series and films are also hitting streaming services for you to watch in case you're stuck at home.

It Ends With Us
Status: Showing in cinemas starting August 7
Starring: Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni and Jenny Slate
Based on the popular Colleen Hoover novel, Lily (Blake Lively) tries to move on from a traumatic childhood to start anew in life. A chance encounter with a neurosurgeon sparks a connection but as time passes by, Lily starts to see some sides of him that remind her of her parents’ toxic relationship.
Project Silence

Starring: Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto
JoshLia is back in each other’s arms! Well, at least on the big screen!
One of the most-admired love teams in recent years reunites for Un/Happy for You. It explores how ex-lovers navigate feelings of anguish and deep affection with someone who once held a special place in their hearts. I dare you to invite your ex and watch this film together! Just kidding!

20th CINEMALAYA FILM FESTIVAL
Status: Showing starting on August 3 to 11, 2024 at selected Ayala Malls (Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Greenbelt, Trinoma, UP Town Center, and Market! Market!)
Now in its 20th year, the Cinemalaya Film Festival is a yearly reminder for us to support quality Pinoy independent films. With the theme “Loob, lalim at lakas," the festival aims to showcase projects that show Filipino values and real-life scenarios our kababayans are going through.
