Grab your neckties: Avril Lavigne is releasing a comeback rock song

Published Nov 08, 2021 12:41 pm

She's still the punk princess after all.

Avril Lavigne is set to make her rock musical comeback on Nov. 10 with the new single Bite Me.

The new song serves as the 37-year-old's latest solo project in two years, as she's only been featured in collaborations this year such as Willow Smith's G R O W and Mod Sun's Flames.

This will be her first release since signing onto Travis Barker's music label, DTA Records.

"Let’s f--- s--- up! Just signed a record contract to Travis Barker’s record label DTA Records!," the Candian singer wrote on Nov. 4 alongside a photo of the Blink-182 drummer. "Should I drop my first single next week?"

Avril also treated fans with a short teaser of the song on TikTok. With her nostalgic voice and the song's hard electric guitar chords, the song is definitely reminiscent of Lavigne's early 2000s rock hits.
