Influenced by classic games like Super-Hexagon, Castlevania, and Touhou, Good Knight tells the story of a Spanish Knight battling demons in hellish environments.
The button-mashing shooting simulator fuses shooter, rhythm, arcade, and retro elements in an action-packed video game. Players must use their agility to dodge an endless stream of bullets coming their way, all while solving puzzles.
"You only need one button because you only have one job—survive from the bullet hell! With this magical button, you are able to perform turn around, attack, speed down, sustained attack," reads the game's description on their Steam page.
Good Knight boasts of an all original rock metal soundtrack and unique visuals including abstract blood, hack slash style violence, a demonic world, and a naked demon with a doll anatomy. The game can accommodate a maximum of four players.
Good Knight has already been recognized with several gaming awards, including “Best Console/Desktop Game” at the 2019 Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit.
Good Knight will be available on PC via Steam early access here starting Sept. 17. An app version for mobile devices and consoles like the Nintendo Switch are also planned.
