LEGO Star Wars is celebrating May the 4th with new collector series, deals, and freebies
Star Wars Day is just around the corner and it is time for fans to greet the world, "May the Fourth be with you."
And on May 4th, fans can choose to celebrate the day with all things Star Wars—watching all the films (including the prequels), streaming the different Disney+ series, and playing games.
LEGO Star Wars also has something up its sleeve for the commemorative day as it's also marking its 25th anniversary.
This year, the toy company will be releasing the Ultimate Collector Series: LEGO Star Wars TIE Interceptor, a model of the aircraft the Galactic Empire used to defend the second Death Star at the Battle of Endor. These newer models of TIE fighters appeared first in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983).
According to the Star Wars website, the TIE Interceptor Lego model will feature 1,931 pieces and measures over 12.5 inches high, 16 inches long, and 13 inches wide with details such as intricate wings, a detailed cockpit interior, laser cannons, and a rear engine.
The model is also mountable so you can put it on display, an information plack, a commemorative LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary brick, a TIE pilot, and an Imperial mouse droid.
The TIE Interceptor model will be available in stores beginning May 1.
